I can not get enough True Blood!

So what is your favorite day of the week? Mine is Sunday! This is due to a little show you might have heard of, True Blood. Ever since the first episode aired I have been HOOKED! I can not get enough of Eric Northman, who is played by Alexander Skarsgård. He is hotter than the midday sun, whew! I have loved his personality, up until his memory was swiped clean, and now he can not remember jack. Now he is a loving and doting vampire (if that is possible.) He was always brash, and self centered, (nothing that I would want in a man) but for some reason it really turned me on! Sexy!! But like I said, now he is nothing like that and is super sweet, especially when it comes to Sookie. I am really excited to see where it leads!!

Lets just say True Blood is Twilight with a Chuck Noris kick!! It is not for the younger crowd, No Siree, Not at all! It comes on HBO Sundays at 9 pm! Do you watch the show? If so, what are you favorite things about it? I hope to talk to some of you soon! Thanks for sticking with me!

My favorite perfumes

When I am looking for perfume I go towards the warm notes. For instance,  I love the smell of cupcakes, jasmine, chocolate, musk, vanilla, and sandalwood. Ever since I was a young girl I loved to dab a little perfume on my wrists and on my neck. Now I do that along with spraying the air and running through it! I have one perfume that when I wear it, I get a lot of compliments on it.  It's Britney Spear's Fantasy, love it!
Victoria's Secret has a couple of fragrances that I am fond of too. Heavenly, and their Vanilla and Sandalwood body oil spray. These two are my go to sprays for work, play, etc.

But if I am really dressing up my favorite all time perfume is Gucci Rush! I first smelled this fragrance when I live in Nashville. Ever since then it has been my #1! Even though it's top notes are flowers such as gardenia and freesia, it is still a really warm scent. You definitely feel sexy when you spray this perfume on! I read a quote from a lady who wears this scent, she said and I quote, "It's like eating a strawberry with black pepper sprinkled on it." And I could not have said it better myself. You just need to smell it, it's AMAZING!

There is one other fragrance that I just had to buy when I saw it. I am a chocolate LOVER and I just about passed out when I found Chocolovers. It seriously smells like I sprayed my self with chocolate. What else could you want? Yum!!

What are some of your signature scents? Is there one that you beau just absolutely loves on you? I hope all of you have a great day!

Hair Feathers!

I am not usually a jump on the bandwagon type of person when I see a new trend, but this one I had to try out! I have seen quite a few celebrities with the feather extensions, and I started to see them around my area and thought they were really cute! I didn't know how they would look in my hair, because it is short (but I am growing it out.)  So 2 weekends ago I took the plunge/pluck (haha) and had them put in!

I had the black and white, pink and black, and yellow and black ones put in. They are really easy to take care of too! Shampoo, condition, blow dry, curl, straighten you can do it all to them!

Here is one of my favorite actresses with her hair feathers! See they add that little extra something to your hair, and I love it! What do you all think? Would you, or have you took the "pluck" and gotten feathers?

Thank Goodness for the Internet!!!

Ya'll I am so happy right now, I can not even describe to you how elated I am! Now don't laugh, but it is because of foundation! Not just any foundation, Prescriptives foundation! This had been my go to foundation for the longest time, up until late '09 when I found out the company had closed their doors. I was devastated to say the least! What was I going to do? So I did what any woman would do, cried, ate way to much chocolate, cried some more, and finally went on a mission to find the next perfect foundation. And I'm sorry to tell you, I never found one that even came close to Prescriptives, much to my dismay. I tried it all Chanel, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Revlon, and nothing! They either broke my face out, was to cakey, or didn't give me enough coverage. I missed my Virtual Matte Y/O Fresh Cream (01) something bad!
That was until this past Saturday! I was just browsing around on the Internet and just for the heck of it I typed in Prescriptives. There it was, right at the top of the page! Presciptives Online-Official Page!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!! I placed my order and received my package yesterday! Needless to say I am one happy woman now! Here is a picture to show you just how great this foundation is, smooth, great coverage, not cakey! What else could you want?

So do any of you have a foundation that you love? I hope all of you are having a great week too!

Have you ever read something, or had someone say something to you and it give you chill bumps, or that little extra umph you needed? I have been keep a journal lately and writing these little things down, and I was wanting to share a few with you today.

Love is patient, love is kind.
Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.
Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily.
Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. Unknown

And of course I could not leave you without letting you read one of my favorite poems!

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler,
long I stood And looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth;
then took the other, just as fair, and having perhaps the better claim,
because it was grassy and wanted wear;
though as for that the passing there had worn them really about the same,
and both that morning equally lay in leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, i kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I- I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost

Please Mind the Gap

I have got London, England on the brain BAD lately. I started reading a new book called, Someday My Prince Will Come, and I am also reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Both books are centralized around London, and it is making me long for England once more! I loved everything about London, I went during Christmas Holiday 2001. The fashion, history, people, architecture, was beyond what I could have even imagined. We stayed near Paddington Station, and there was a pub that I went to almost every night, The Dickens Tavern was it's name. I remember playing pool in the back, but the balls were different than what I was accustom too. Here in America we have strips and solids. There they have all solids, and they call it "blackball" so add in a beer or two and that had me thrown! Lets just say I didn't win a game that night!

  Yes it was really cold, but that wasn't going to stop me, I was on a mission! I wanted to see Prince William so badly that I was willing to do just about anything. I remember walking towards Buckingham Palace in a bit of a hurry, but then I saw it. It was like Angels were singing "Hallelujah!" I had arrived!!

And the flag was flying, which meant the Queen was home! But unfortunately I never saw my Prince, and by that time there was some other girl named Kate that had caught his eye. I would have loved to have stayed longer than I did. I would have gone shopping in Sloane Square, even taken a picture crossing Abbey Road like the Beatles. I however did get a chance to go to the famous Harrods, and let me tell you that place is out of this world! I do believe you could live in that place and never have to leave for anything, well except to go to the restroom..you have to pay to go in there!

One funny story about my London trip, to show you just how small the world really is! Me, my sisters, and a couple of friends we took were walking around London looking for the Hard Rock Cafe. We had walked what seemed forever, before we stopped someone and asked how to get there. The lady was really friendly and after she gave us directions she asked where we were from. We told her the U.S., and she asked which state. We told her Virginia and she asked "Do you know of a town called Abingdon?" DO WHAT?!?! "Yes" we answered, we live an hour away. She said that she was from there, and was now living here in London! Crazy huh? So have any of you ever gone out of the country and came across someone that you knew, or someone from your home town while there? I hope you all have a great evening!!

Decorating Oh How I love thee!

I know I have said how much I hated to move this past week, but I LOVE to decorate! I love all types of styles when it comes to decorating. Shabby Chic, contemporary/modern, baroque, and country, are just a few of the decorating schemes I love. I went through a period a few years ago that I had to have everything in a Middle Eastern feel, think Morocco.
I had the canopy hanging over my bed, the colorful bedding, and I also had a Moroccan lamp! But then my taste changed as I got older, it became more sophisticated. Now I know this is going to sound kind of off beat for some of you, but my favorite color is black, and that is the color scheme I redecorated my room with . No, not the "Gothic" way out there decorating with black, but the elegant and sophisticated way of decorating with black. I should also add that my other favorite color is champagne, and it goes along great with black. So when I moved this past week I was excited to figure out how to decorate my room and bathroom! So here is what I came up with.

                                                                 So what do you think?

I think I did a pretty good job, with the limited amount of space I had! I can not wait to have my own home one day, it will be amazing!  I love to go to The Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Crate and Barrel, and William Sonoma when I am in D.C. and just dream of everything that I would love to do with my future home. So how do you have your home decorated? Have any tips for me? I would love to hear from you!!
