That Thing You Do..

I have been thinking a lot about love lately, and the sweet things men do to make my belly flutter. No I have not found Mr. Right yet, but still I love to think about what my future Mr. Right will be like (or wish he would be like.) You know the simple little things they do, that mean so much to you. For example when they kiss your forehead, ahh I love that! Those types of simple yet sweet things. I know this will never be told to me in my life, but there are 2 movie line in 2 different movies that I would LOVE to me told but my Mr. Right. The first one is from the movies Pride and Prejudice, and it is the final scene when Mr. Darcy says that she has Bewitched him body and soul and that he loves her...ahhhhhh! Here you have to see it!

The second is from the movie Chasing Liberty when Ben tells Anna that being around her he becomes so unbloody hinged being near her! Ah lord I would love to hear that being said to me!!! Watch!!!

Some of My Favorite Churches

When my family and I would travel to NOVA we would go through Keswick and Orange County. No matter what time of day my mom would always wake me up so I could look at "my church." Now this church is just amazing to look at. I have never been in it, but I would love to. I have noticed that is the one thing I look for when I am on trips to new places, is churches. I love the really small quaint ones, but I also love the opulent one too. So here is a few pictures of some churches I love!

Friday's Favorites

TGIF!!!!!!! Can I get and Amen on that! Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite things in the toiletries department.

Soap: Dove Exfoliating Bar, I love this stuff! It is great for my skin and it smells great!

Lotion: Curel Lotion in the honey vanilla shea butter scent. I have used this lotion ever since it came out! I LOVE the smell of it! and it lasts all day!

Chap Stick: Smith's Rosebud Salve. It is a thing of magic!! It is great for everything!

Shampoo and Conditioner: Moroccan Oil. My sister works at a spa in NOVA and she got me hooked on this stuff. Everyone needs to try it, especially if you color you hair like I do. It helps with the damge that is caused my the chemicals.

A Friend Until The End....and Then Some

Well I am not going to lie, today was a really bad day for me. I didn't think I was even going to do a post when I got home, but that has all changed. My daily routine from coming home is to go to my computer and read all of the yahoo news first, facebook, then blog. So today as I opend yahoo news I see a story about a young man who was a Navy Seal by the name of  Jon Tumilson that was killed in that horrible helicopter accident on August 6. They had his funeral at the local high school, and his Labrador retriever named Hawkeye was in attendance. Tumilson was said to have called Hawkeye his son, they were that close. The dog followed a friend of Tumilson to the front of the auditorium when he was about to give his speech and laid down in front of the casket and stayed there the whole time. Here is a photo that was taken of Hawkeye at the funeral.

This just really made me take a step back and realize how lucky I am, even though I have had a rough day it doesn't even come close to the day this family had. I have a lab also, and the loyalty they have towards their owners is unfathomable. Dakota (my lab) will sit and wait for my dad every day under our mimosa tree and then run to greet him when he gets out of his truck. So to see Hawkeye mourn Tumilson really breaks my heart. I hope that where ever his family is, they know how grateful I am that he gave his life for our country. And I hope that God gives them the peace and rest they need in the coming future.  Take the time to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, you never know when it could be their time, and then you will never get that chance again.

Loving Miranda Lambert!

I finally bought Miranda's 3rd album Revolution, and it is awesome! I love her style, sassiness, and confidence. She seems like the girl next door who you could go shopping with, and also come home a drink a couple of beers with. My friend Morgan and I can not wait for the release of Miranda's new group Pistol Annies cd. It comes out TOMORROW!! I am uber excited, as if you couldn't tell right!

I was so happy when she finally got married to Blake Shelton, they make such a cute pair! They compliment each other, and I hope to find that someday! Just like Miranda said she had to be patient and wait for her man, and therefore so must I.

I know a lot of you do not listen to country music, but not every country song is about losing your wife, your car and your dog. Miranda's song can pump you up like the song "Gunpowder and Lead", or they can even make you cry like "The House That Built Me." She is a little rock and a little country all rolled into one! I'm really happy that she has finally been given the recognition that she deserves by the Country Music Industry, for so long it seemed to me that she was being looked over. She racked up at the CMA awards this past November, I really hope she does the same this year!

So how has everyone's week started? Mine, ah it was ok I have had better. I hope this is not a sign of how the rest of the week will be, I'm not sure I could make it..

Yes my lovelies, it is that special day again FRIDAY!!! What do you all have planned for this weekend? Me, a whole lot of NOTHING! I will get a manicure and maybe go watch a movie with a friend though, but other than that I plan to do nothing all weekend long! Sounds great to me!! I hope you all have a great one!!

Anxiously Awaiting Fall!!

You can already fill it in the air, fall is near! I for one am really excited, because this is my favorite time of year! High school football games, fall festivals, holidays, etc. I love all of it, especially that the heat starts to die down here in the South, thank goodness! I can not stand how hot it has been these past 2 months! I love to decorate for the fall, and when I finally meet Mr. Right and get married I want to get married in the fall. When the leaves begin to change color, and the smell of apples and cinnamon fills the air, is when I am most happy! 

I am really looking forward to curling up with a warm cup of cider and a good book! What season do you like the best? Guess what tomorrow is? TGIF!!!! Yay!! Hope all of you have had a great week! I know this was a really random post today but I just had to let you know how excited I am for the fall!!

Who says you have to be a size 2?!

For a plus size woman in todays world can be a hard thing at times. Especially in the clothing department. Now I love fashion, but the world wants all of us plus size women to wear moo moo's. Well I am taking a stand and saying NO WAY! I will wear something that I look good in and I will feel sexy in as well! So along the lines of sexy I found some outfits that is from a company called Pin Up Girl Clothing. I love to wear dresses, but can never find one that I like, not even at Lane Bryant. But this company has some of the cutest one I have ever seen! Just take a look yourself!

These are just a few of the dresses that I saw, don't you think they are sexy! I would love to have all of these in my closet at some time in the future! They even have bathing suits that are really cute!

I am not really one to wear a bathing suite, but I do believe that if I had this one I would definitely not be ashamed to wear it. I would have to wear a sarong around my waist though (self conscious of my lower body!)  So what do you all think? Cute eh? Well I hope you all are having a great week so far, as for me I can not wait for the weekend! Come on Friday!!

There's a feeling in the "eyre"

I finally got around to watching the 2011 BBC edition of Jane Eyre last night, and I have to say it was really good. I have loved the book by Charlotte Bronte ever since I read it in high school. I loved the relationship between Jane and Mr. Rochester, and watching it grow into a love that neither one had even known before. And seeing that in the movie last night made me want to find my "Mr. right" as soon as possible! I just wish they had shown where they got married and had their first born son though, that would have made me much more happier! I am a sucker for a good chick flick, and some of my favorites are based during this time period, and usually in England. I think I lived in England in a former life or something, because I have a really profound want to be there now. It is like there is a part of me there, and it is calling for me to come back home. Have you ever felt that way? Well I hope you all are having a good week so far! Take care, oh and be sure to watch this movie, I give it **** (4 stars!!!)

Music Monday: Adele

This woman has quickly became one of my favorite singers, and if you have never heard of her or one of her songs then here is your newsflash! Adele's voice is like velvet, and her new album 21 is a constant in my CD player. Some of my favorite songs are Set Fire to the Rain, Turning Tables, One and Only, and of course Rolling in the Deep. I have had a few people say I look like her a tad, which I love! Check her out, you won't regret it!

I can not get enough True Blood!

So what is your favorite day of the week? Mine is Sunday! This is due to a little show you might have heard of, True Blood. Ever since the first episode aired I have been HOOKED! I can not get enough of Eric Northman, who is played by Alexander Skarsgård. He is hotter than the midday sun, whew! I have loved his personality, up until his memory was swiped clean, and now he can not remember jack. Now he is a loving and doting vampire (if that is possible.) He was always brash, and self centered, (nothing that I would want in a man) but for some reason it really turned me on! Sexy!! But like I said, now he is nothing like that and is super sweet, especially when it comes to Sookie. I am really excited to see where it leads!! 

Lets just say True Blood is Twilight with a Chuck Noris kick!! It is not for the younger crowd, No Siree, Not at all! It comes on HBO Sundays at 9 pm! Do you watch the show? If so, what are you favorite things about it? I hope to talk to some of you soon! Thanks for sticking with me!

My favorite perfumes

When I am looking for perfume I go towards the warm notes. For instance,  I love the smell of cupcakes, jasmine, chocolate, musk, vanilla, and sandalwood. Ever since I was a young girl I loved to dab a little perfume on my wrists and on my neck. Now I do that along with spraying the air and running through it! I have one perfume that when I wear it, I get a lot of compliments on it.  It's Britney Spear's Fantasy, love it!

Victoria's Secret has a couple of fragrances that I am fond of too. Heavenly, and their Vanilla and Sandalwood body oil spray. These two are my go to sprays for work, play, etc.  

But if I am really dressing up my favorite all time perfume is Gucci Rush! I first smelled this fragrance when I live in Nashville. Ever since then it has been my #1! Even though it's top notes are flowers such as gardenia and freesia, it is still a really warm scent. You definitely feel sexy when you spray this perfume on! I read a quote from a lady who wears this scent, she said and I quote, "It's like eating a strawberry with black pepper sprinkled on it." And I could not have said it better myself. You just need to smell it, it's AMAZING! 

There is one other fragrance that I just had to buy when I saw it. I am a chocolate LOVER and I just about passed out when I found Chocolovers. It seriously smells like I sprayed my self with chocolate. What else could you want? Yum!!

Hair Feathers!

I am not usually a jump on the bandwagon type of person when I see a new trend, but this one I had to try out! I have seen quite a few celebrities with the feather extensions, and I started to see them around my area and thought they were really cute! I didn't know how they would look in my hair, because it is short (but I am growing it out.)  So 2 weekends ago I took the plunge/pluck (haha) and had them put in!

I had the black and white, pink and black, and yellow and black ones put in. They are really easy to take care of too! Shampoo, condition, blow dry, curl, straighten you can do it all to them!
